Travel tips for honeymooners
In the excitement and pressure of
arranging a wedding or special event, it’s easy
to overlook the small details surrounding your trip;
so we’ve put together a list of travel tips to make
sure you don’t miss anything. If you have any tips

Check that your passport will be valid for 6 months
from your date of departure
* Apply for any necessary visas well in advance
* Organise airport transfers before you leave, unless
they are included in your package
* Make sure that your credit cards won’t be expiring
while you’re travelling
* Notify your credit card service provider of your
intended trip overseas, to avoid your card being
blocked on suspicion of fraud
* Check that you have adequate travel insurance
for medical emergencies and baggage loss
* Get an inflatable travel pillow – the kind that
fits around your neck; these are generally far more
comfortable than the small pillows provided by the
airlines
* Buy an electrical adaptor for the country you
will be visiting
* Don’t forget to arrange for someone to water your
plants and take care of your pets
* Leave a spare set of keys, as well as a copy of
your itinerary and contact numbers, with a neighbour
or friend
* Stop newspaper and other deliveries
* Make copies of your passport, visas, air tickets
and itinerary, and take them with you, in a separate
bag to the originals
* Make sure that iPods and camera batteries are
fully charged, and remember to take along any cables
you may need
* Make sure that your hand luggage complies with
the current regulations on liquids and gels
* Empty your fridge and freezer before leaving,
in case of power cuts
* Check that doors, windows and garage are closed
and locked as you leave home
Visa Requirements for Seychelles
Entry requirements for South Africans:
South Africans must have a passport valid at least
for the duration of their stay and will be issued
with a visitor's permit on arrival and remains valid
for a month.
Passport/Visa Note: No foreigners
require a visa to enter Seychelles. A one-month
visitor's permit is issued on arrival and may be
extended on application. All visitors do, however,
require a passport valid for the duration of their
visit, return or onward ticket, sufficient funds
to cover their stay (a minimum of US$150 per day),
and proof of accommodation. Extensions are possible
if applied for at least a week before expiry of
original visa.
Health requirements
Yellow Fever Vaccination
International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow
Fever is required upon arrival if travelling from
an infected area or having transited an endemic
area in the preceding 6 days, and if the traveler
is over 1 year of age.
Zanzibar Travel Visa Requirements
All visitors must have a valid passport
and visa to enter Tanzania. Visa fees vary according
to the country you originate from. Visas can be
obtained from Tanzania Diplomatic Representatives
abroad.
Health requirements
Visitors travelling to Tanzania
no longer require a valid international certificate
of vaccination against Yellow Fever and Cholera.
Anti-malaria medication is recommended
when travelling within East Africa. Anti-malaria
tablets should be taken a few days prior to arrival,
during your stay and for a short period after returning
home
